Hello dear Hometalkers! Here's the skinny. I've decorated one of my bedroom walls here with what I guess you could call an 'outdoors-y' vibe. As you can see, I made a twine string background and put some of the pictures I've taken over the years on top. Reminding this city dweller that trees and leaves and lakes do exist
But the top feels...empty. It's missing something. Any ideas of what I could do to the top of this to give it a more unified/finished look?

Going with the tree theme, I would get a nice tree branch, and suspend all the twine from the branch and then hang...I think that it would give this a nice organic look.
Get a piece of wood and distress it to match the table then paint a simple saying or word on it. Something you feel or think of when you look at the pictures. Attach it to the wall just covering the top of the twine.
If you live near an ocean or large body of water (Great Lake) look for a weathered piece of driftwood, Or as an alternative look for a weathered oar or canoe paddle???
U can put a shelf up an add a little water falls in the center an vine plants on an around it with stencil lettering above saying something about nature
A long shelf above for your outdoorsy keepsakes.
