Do you have raised garden beds? We are going through the same thing with raised garden beds. I drove rebar into the corners and put pcv pipe over it. I then bought some plastic fencing that is 4foot high and wrapped around the gardens. It is keeping the squirrels and cats out of the gardens.

My daughter lives in a condo and has 3 pine trees up against her fence. Squirrels live in them and give her the same fit you have. She has her garden in big flower pots. I got her some bamboo and wrapped the plastic netting around it. it is keeping the squirrels out. You might try that or lay some lumber around the edges and lay the netting over it.. I got the netting from Lowes. It comes in rolls and is green. Or you could use chicken wire over the top of your garden.

Buy some bubblegum at Costco and spread it around the yard. Keep your dogs and cats away. The squirrels will eat the bubblegum, they can't digest it, and good bye squirrels. No secondary kill as with many poisons.

Sounds a little cruel, but at least no cats or dogs are around in my condo. Just the damn squirrels. Where will they drop dead, lol!
