What kind of flowers and shrubs, can i plant in the shade, full shade?

Hi Marilyn! I love impatiens and they grow so well in total shade. I'm not sure about shrubbery though, I'm sorry!

Begonias, Bleeding Hearts, Astilbe, Caladium, Coleus, Elephant's Ear, Impatiens, Diamond Flower, Lobelia, Monkey Flower, Forget -me-nots, Flowering Tobacco, Butterfly Flower, Wishbone Flower, Pansies, Viola, Calla Lilies...that should give you a good start!

Host as are great! And they bloom every year and are low maintenance.

Hibiscus are good shrubs, and most of the wild ones (not fancy) do well in partial shade to full shade. They flower less in full shade. They can be used as a shrub, living fence, etc. BUT they do tend to get a big crazy and try to grow all over the place. They spread by rhizomes. If you are going for shrubs.... partial shade is most rhododendrons - again slow growth and less flowers with less sun. Boxwoods are evergreens that do well in less sun, but again they need at least four hours. IF your partial sun or hours of sun are evening, they do just fun in 3 hours of sun a day. If morning, you need no less than four hours of sun.
