Depends what you want to plant after, it will make the soil acidic so ideal for rhododendrons, azaleas and heathers, not so good for camellias and some veges like artichokes

Turnips like lime but, everything doesn't.
You need to be more specific on the use of the area. Lime is good sometimes, not good others.
It depends on the pre-existing soil and also the intent for the area, eventually. You might contact your university or local college's extension service for advice and information on whether or not the soil needs amending.
