How to build a pool in a slopping back yard?

the back yard was a Fernery. I wanted to make a deck off the back of the house leading to the pool. Should the pool be all the way in the ground or partially go with the gentle slope.

I had a similar situation and I went with the pool coming off the deck. Put it against the slope to cover up the wasted space.
