Dandilions are often the first pollen for bees and such. Pull them or mow if you don't desire their presence. Vinegar works, but kills everything it touches.
I don't like to kill dandelions since the flowers are so pretty first thing in the spring but did you know you can eat the greens? They are a good bitter spring green to wilt with hot bacon, vinegar and sugar sauce. Yum Yum
