How to keep mosquitoes away?

We have a back porch and would like to enjoy the evening sunset, but the mosquitoes are so bad. Also, if you have any help on keeping the mosquitoes away from our chickens who live outdoors in the chicken coop, I'd appreciate your suggestions.

There are many ways you can help keep mosquitos away with plants! I give each client a pot full of lemon grass, basil, lemon balm to put by where they hang out outside. You can do multiple pots of this.
