Perhaps there are some alternate suggestions here:https://homeguides.sfgate.com/squirrel-problems-pecan-trees-68523.html
There may be a barrier you can put below the branches, but squirrel can really jump from other trees.
Thank y'all great tips cross my fingers!!
You probably will have challenge doing any of the above, they are great helpful suggestions. Squirrels love nuts, period. They grab them, eat them, bury them, forget where they did that, dig'em up, and so on. You might have one of those neighbors who just love squirrels and find them adorable and feed them. Best to you. So sorry this is not a solution, just an observation.
Hi Heather, here are some ideas for keeping squirrels away from your pecan trees. How do I keep squirrels out of pecan trees?
You could try wrapping a 2-foot wide metal barrier around the trunk to prevent the animals from climbing up into the tree. Remove any branches that are less than six feet from the ground. But there's really not much you can do to prevent squirrels from jumping into the canopy from nearby trees.Jul 17, 1999
