How to rid tall ornamental grass of poison ivy?
Every year I pull out as much of the vine root as possible but in several months it will be showing again. I'm afraid to use poison that I may kill the grass Instead.

Kill that ivy, and poison oak and poison sumac, even if it kills some ornamental grass. Many people are deathly allergic, even to the smoke when it has been burned. Since you don't seem to be allergic, you could dig a small trench between the ivy and the grass. Then you have a more focused space to dig out the roots. Then use whatever weedkillers you need where you dug, so the unexposed roots will be poisoned underground. Sacrifice more grass now for cleaner grass later. OMGoodness, I'm itching all over. they do have a posin ivy killerand itreallyworks may have to do it a few times but finally will get the message!
