--Area is roof-covered w/open walls on 3 sides (not a high ceiling) --will be used for working puzzles so needs good lighting. --Remote or wall control?

    If it is going to be outdoors , please take into consideration the humidity factor . The blades, if not made of a rust proof metal will rust. If they're made of wood , they should be treated with a marine grade polyurethane . Lowe's and other big box stores sell outdoor ceiling fans on their website if you specifically for this kind .
