Name the insect that look like a humming bird?

Its called a Hummingbird moth- I've never saw one in person, but they're really cool!

It is a Phoenix Moth. The larvae are cutworms, so they are cool looking, but really bad for your garden.

I was so excited the first time I saw one. I thought, at last! A hummingbird came to my garden. Then I noticed he had some extra feet.

Hummingbird moth. One year I grew moonflowers (the morning glory kind), and every evening they were full of hummingbird moths. Gorgeous.

I had one in my flower garden, and a local "bug expert" told me it was a Hummingbird Hawk Moth. I was so excited, but unfortunately, I never saw one again.
