The stem ends grow a new bud, between two leaves, gently spread the leaves and nip off just the bud. This causes each leaf to grow a new stem. I repeat this process every few days, checking for new growth of "buds" to nip off.
You really don't have to do anything. They self spread.
Vinca minor is my favorite ground cover for sun. You can cut it anywhere there is a node. I always dip the end going into the soil in a rooting hormone. I have it in pots and when long enough to touch the ground they start growing in the bed, even in rock gardens. Once it is well rooted I cut it about halfway up the pot & lay out the runner to continue its growth.. It is really stunning
!
Thank you!
It just has to be dug out, roots and all
