How to clean water marks out of a crystal vase?

I've used vinegar, baking soda, denture cleaner and nothing has worked.

Have you tried CLR? I'd put some in and let it soak for a while then use a scrub side of sponge and a long wooden spoon to really get in there .

the glass is what is tagged " Sick" it refers to mineral deposits staining glass from the water. As you can tell from your attempts of removal it is a difficult task to accomplish. The one thing I have heard of that you haven't tried is cheap Vodka it's supposed to work. Fill the glass to the stain ring and let it soak it could take more than several days to work. I would also cover it with saran wrap to prevent evaporation. One last more drastic recipe is to mix 50/50 denatured alcohol and lacquer thinner I've used this mixture for stripping paint so it works but I'm not sure for removing "sick' stains from glass. cover the container like the vodka hint and keep it outside because the fumes are powerful. Good luck, because I know hoe frustrating these stains can be......... Wally

I soak the inside and clean with a skinny brush you can buy for baby bottles. You can polish up the inside poking in a microfiber cloth with the same brush or a chopstick. In a pinch I've used a toothbrush or an artist paintbrush. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't work right away.

Sorry about your vase. I hope someone knows what to do. To head off future problems with glass I had Culligan Water Softener service installed. Didn't cost a lot to have it put in. I don't have to use that liquid water softener in my dishwasher any more. I'm very pleased and I don't have to worry about my glasses getting ruined and I use my softened water in my vases.

Use chipped ice & salt. Gently swish around & around. Also, try CLR.

I found that cleanser and ice cubes work wonders, just swirl around , repeat as needed. Cleans burnt coffee pots shiney.
