Valerie you could use certain hangers that allow you to hang about 5 hangers on this one hanger sold at walmart and you could use a over the door hangar for the inside of closet door for your shoes
i would take off the door complete
ly, and install a curved shower rod.
change your door into a barn door style sliding door with hooks to hang smaller items like hats, scarfs, thin sweaters and blouses, etc.
Well, don't knock those good old wire clothes hangers. http://amzn.to/2ri531c They take up way less space than plastic. You can always run a bead of hot glue along the edge for slippery clothes. There are also several other clever hanger helpers for scarves etc. that can help. Good luck with your tiny closet!
I had the same challenge...my son took the door off, expanded the opening, and put bifold doors up. Also, put a separate door above the closet door so you can access the shelf space and use all of it. I needed a step stool to get to it, but no more stuff falling on my head ehen trying to get things down and almost twice as much storage.
I took my door of and hung beaded curtain
install a pocket door.
It's weird but I love it, I ran out of hanging space so I used a corner of my room and took some laundry drying rope and made 3 separate lines with the rope using eye screws to attach the rope to the wall. (You may have to drill pilot guide for the screws, and make sure you use atleast a 30Lb screw on each side totaling 60Lbs ). But then I just hang my dresses/over throws/ and skirts on it and I call it my dress tree. There's also some hidden storage space that gets created and it's a good spot to hide out of season clothes for the next season :). I dunno I love it, I hope you find it useful :)
if you have a lot of t-shirts, shorts and leggings -put them in those square cubbies - you can fit alot in one of those 4 square shelves under the haning clothes.
Do you have any sort of drawer space anywhere? It looks like many items you have don't actually need to be hung up. You could also take things that are "out of season" or that you don't wear very often and put those in some plastic storage bags that you suck the air out of so they go flat. You could store those under your bed.
