How do you get wrinkles/creases out of a new vinyl tablecloth?
Round vinyl/cotton backed tablecloth, not an expensive one. Came folded in a square. How can I get creases/wrinkles out?
I threw mine in the washer and dryer. They came out fine. I would guess if they are delicates you should hand wash and iron.
Wash them on the delicate or gentle or delicate cycle along with the tablecloth in cold water with a couple scoops of baking soda in cold water with vinegar rinse. Or follow manufacturers instructions.
Well of course you wash them. I used to have an antique shop and I dealt a lot in linens. I have a personal collection of table linens (pillow cases too) we use cotton and linen napkins daily. If they are white and in a white load add a little bleach. I also iron mine. We also use napkin rings for family, so use them more than once.
Wash them with like colors with regular detergent in the washing machine, I then iron mine.
Depending on the color...they can be cleaned in your washing machine. Depending on the type of fabric will determine if you put them in the dryer or hang them to dry.
Naomie's advice is good but only for especially fine linens. I have two linen and lace tablecloths I would probably wash by hand
I always soak my cloth napkins in cold water with Dawn detergent so no stains can set-I then use a small scrub brush to add more dawn and concentrate on the spots. Then wash as usual
If they can't go in the washing machine, then hand wash and line dry (if they can't go in the dryer) Press with a steam iron at the lowest setting possible.
