I would turn them onto their side for boot or shoe storage. Paint a bright color
Craft or scrap wood or dowel storage comes to mind.
Hello Prubelle; I like how these look......I am wondering if you couldn't use them for Wine bottles. It does look like they will hold more than one bottle at a time??
Also, why couldn't you use some of the holders for like items to use for a Wine area!!! Rolled up napkins, placemats, Etc.. would look nice, as well as many others things.
You could always place folded fabric/placemats behind bottle of wine, to make them come closer to the end of the box.
If nothing else, I would personally use the boxes for my crafts!!!
I hope that this helps you!! Take Care!
I have way too many shoes. I'm do another spring cleaning up and out. I would definitely make it a shoe holder/organizer.
Maybe grilling tools outside with your grill or utensils in the kitchen (along with a small herb in any unused compartment.)
Also, maybe hang under the kitchen cabinet for spice space, timers?
What about inside a sink cabinet to hold cleaners?
How about in that extra cabinet where you put small gadgets for the kitchen like a hand mixer and coffee grinder, things you may not be able to use every day, but use them often enough and they just don't look good on the counter, or standing loose and hard to reach in your cabinet?
If you have a craft room, they would be great for paint brushes and paint tubes; and along the same line, turn them on their sides to store project materials that are taking up shelf space until you can use them - fabrics can be rolled up so you can see them, or folded.
I am a pen junkie, so can also see this along the top of my desk filled with pens and other office "stuff" like stapler, staple clip, letter opener, etc.
You may even want to cut one of them in half, so it makes 6 smaller/shorter boxes instead of 3... Stack them atop each other facing out for "family mailboxes" that can be dressed up and hung in the kitchen or at the front door. Great for collecting keys too! Don't forget to hang a hook for a purse!
Not knowing the dimension of each box, I'd suggest screwing them together in a row, and store brooms, wood, etc. in your garage. I'm sure these could be very useful in your home: umbrella bin? skeins of yard? rolls of wrapping paper? t.p. for the bathroom? Best of luck.
You are Welcome, PruBelle; What if you use a cloth napkin, (Like what you use when Dining out) between the bottles? It would look nice, and would protect the bottles.
Also, if you are concerned about the bottles being far back, and the label not showing, You can always use a piece of paper, and print on it what the bottle is, Etc. Tie it to the end of the bottle and that would work as well!
I hope that you enjoy using these boxes!!! Take Care!
you're welcome
If you have a means to cut them in half depth-wise (half the height of that wine bottle), and add another board on the back of each of the cut halves that need it, these would make a fantastic running planter for small-ish potted plants and flowers. ( the additional backing board is not necessary if you're just putting the otted plant inside the square - it only serves to 'hide' the pot in a more decorative fashion) Use the 'boxes' as a boarder around a patio or along a walkway. Use them together or separately to define a space and add some color.
Hi,
Bottle holders, Mini Desk, Side Table, Plant pot Holders, Shoe holder, Kiddies , Tidy Store. Ornament shelves. Turn them to the wall and use as floating shelves.
Hi PruBelle, did you come up with a use? I think these would be great for craft supplies, towels and sheets, even trinkets, toys, winter/seasonal clothing items, gardening tools, etc.
