You can rent a jack like tool from Home Depot that will hills the dry wall up for you.
First you get 1/4" drywall for ceiling, then go to a tool rental place and rent a drywall panel hoist that will lift and hold in place.
Rent scaffolding.
Second the drywall hoist build a house ourselves and it hold the drywall for you so very easy to get it up to the ceiling,
Hoist is big help but you still need more than one person to lift drywall ONTO the hoist- I have a hoist and can only lift HALF pieces (4 x 8=standard - so mine are 2 x 4 feet) One person to work the hoist and another to make sure the drywall piece is straight etc. and to then screw it to the ceiling. GOOD LUCK
None
It takes two!
I will get 1/4" drywall, and rent a hoist/drywall jack. Thank you, ladies for the suggestions. (I noticed no men answered, must have seemed too easy of a question?)
