Bottom rot is caused by lack of calcium in the soil. You can add crushed egg shells to help. To prevent this from happening next year, at the end of the growing season clean out the garden put down a layer of compost/manure and add some lyme. The garden will be ready in spring till the soil and your ready to grow.
Push a couple of Tums/Roland's/Store brands, etc into the dirt near the base of the plant. Plenty of calcium at a low cost.
Thank you for your help
Good idea thanks
get blossom rot to spray on them, usually it is a lack of a mineral in the soil but the sprays on the blossoms fix it
