Peroxide and an old toothbrush .
Scrub with a solution of hot water and bleach.
If this doesn't work, then dampen the floor first with water. Dip a spong into pure bleach (be sure to wear rubber gloves) and lightly wipe over the wet grouting and tiles. Let sit a while. Using throw away clean white rags, or paper towels, soak up the wet bleach, rubbing gently. The dirt and gunk from the grouting and tiles should come up onto the paper towels. Keep wiping until towels are clean.
Using hot water and a little vinegar, rinse the whole area. There may be some residual odor, but your floor will be clean.

I swore I would never install white ceramic tile floors again, but I weakened and put it in my bathroom. Big mistake. But I recently found a way to clean it with a minimum of effort. All you need is a scrub brush, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Sprinkle the baking soda over the grout, then spray with the peroxide and then give it a bit of a scrub with the brush. Leave it for a few minutes then wipe it up.
I was amazed to see how clean the grout was.
Hydogen peroxide mixed with baking soda into a paste, apply to the soil area and scrub with a toothbrush.
Yes, hydrogen peroxide over bleach any day. No horrible fumes.
Bleach on a paper towel or cotton balls. use gloves to protect your hands but in just a few minutes you'll have crazy white grout again! Rinse with hot water if there are pets in the house.
Hi Lynda, You can make a thin paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Apply it to the grout and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse clean. If the grout between the tiles has worn down too far, it may be a better idea to first re-grout and then seal. You can also buy grout pens to quickly “recolor” your grout and make them look new again.
Mix a half cup of baking soda with a half cup of hydrogen peroxide. Add a tsp of dish soap.
