Just be sure it is high enough that kids can't climb on it.
Cut an old leather belt into three sections . Poke a hole in both ends of each section . Loop one section around each end of the ladder and one around the middle . Use the holes to drive the nails into the wall . If all of the leather strips are the same length and the holes are equidistant , then you won't even need a level .
Pipe Clips will do the job!
