This is awesome. Thank you. When doing the hot cold baths I hear a loud snap but can't seem to get the two pieces of the bottle to seperate with breaking. I'm wondering if I'm not scoreing it deep enough.
TRy super heating your bottles if they are not just beer bottles. Throw them into a fire or lay then on a hot grill. The glass will soften. You can press them flat, cut or drill a hole in the neck and make wind chimes. Cut the bottles to about seven inches. Using a glass emery paper sand the edges and make glasses.
I'm eorking with wine bottles. I've been using boiling water and cold tap water. I'm not really interested in changing the shape of the bottles. But, maybe my hot cold baths have not been extreme enough.
I think you might want to press harder when scoring.
