Hello Dianne; You can find some really nice paint at Home Depot, called Behr.
It is especially made for a Patio.
The cost is well under thirty dollars, and it is a Premium paint.
As far as the cracks, there is a product that they have, which you can use to fill in with.
I hope that this helps you!!!! Have fun fixing your patio, so that you will enjoy using it!!! Take Care!

You can buy a flagstone type stencil from a craft store or order it online and use Patio Paint to stencil the pattern. Use greys and black paints. When you move the stencil position it so that the existing patio color is the mortar between each stenciled stone. When finished you can add a clear waterproof finish to the entire patio. You can look on Pinterest to find flagstone paint combinations.
I dunno what you call a huge amount of money, but you could add a coating of pebbles with epoxy..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htEAXybcZbs
Sweep and clean the slab. Fill any cracks with a concrete filler in a caulk tube. Use a latex modified concrete resurfacing product over the whole slab.
