The corners are exposed is there any filler trucks I can do
You could take them down one by one, add wood trim the width of the door x 1/2" (if that what was cut off), gluing and screwing, make sure heads are set in. Then fill the trim line on door faceswith wood putty, sand and repaint.
If that sounds like too much work, visit Habitat for Humanity Restore, and start buying used doors that fit and refurbish them.
You can tack down a piece of door facing...not sure what it is called...but it is used for covering carpets in doorways and other things. It comes in different heights and can be bought at any hardware store.
Hi Colleen,
Depending on how much room you have at the top, you might be able to move the whole door down a little bit. Hopefully enough to make it look better, BUT you will have to fill in all the holes and gouges that are left from moving the hinges. It might not be worth the trouble. Eventually you might get used to the gap and not notice it any more.
Good luck!
Try glueing cove Base on the bottom of the doors. You can get cove base at Homedepot or Lowe's, or a home improvement store. They can show you different colors, and different sizes. This is a plastic/rubber strip that you put down to hide the gap. Make sure you measure the space between the bottom of the door, and the floor. Also figure out how much you'll need. Good Luck!
How about Crocheted skirts? Crochet lace trim the width of your door and the depth that you need. Velcro tape can be sewn to top of lace and the other side adhered to your door for a removable and washable skirt.

Had same problem, 2 inch gap. My husband removed door, measured and cut a piece of wood, same width as door by 2 inchs. affixed it with liquid nails, dried and then screwed onto door. replaced and it looks really neat. JJ
Was it a hollow door ??
Thank you all for your suggestions. I think I'll go look in the Habitat for Humanity store
Hello Colleen,
But in Timber threshold's at doorways or buy new doors. or you could remove each door and add more timber, but you will always see the line where it has been fitted. Unless you then clad the door both sides to cover it and then re finish the door decor.
