You can build a arbor, or piece together some slats for a couple of trellis's
Make a cool monogram sign. Or a sign with the last name or initial and the wedding date.
How about a customized mailbox, door wreath or house number display?
Yep it's wedding time for family and friends in my life too. It's hard to know if you don't know the individual well. Most people have wedding site's with gift suggestions. I gave money to one couple because their lives are in flux just now and they are moving. If you have a specific skill or talent, that you are known for, a gift reflecting that would be nice. I think a project is a little iffy unless they are specifically into home crafted and uniquely original works.
i made a beautiful basket for the. Wedding guest that wanted to give money or cards. It was very much appreciated. Lynne
I rolled up towels to make a wedding cake and the salt and pepper shakers were the bride groom topper
I created a book for the bride from her bridesmaids- but Im sure it could be adaptable for both bride and groom (and be from the whole bridal party)
Basically, I asked for all the bridesmaids to either answer a list of questions I provided, or write the bride a letter about whatever they wanted, really. The intention was to make it personal. And then I also had them each send in a picture of themselves with the bride. It could be funny or sentimental. I gave it to her to read while she had her hair and makeup done.
You could do the same thing for the groom- ask his groomsmen to do something similar and compile it all together. Or you could ask the whole bridal party to write a letter to the couple, either about how they met and became friends or with wishes for the future.
You could make some beautiful candles or buy some champagne glasses and decorate them with their name written on them and some embellishments.
i decorated candle, decoupaged part of their announce on to it.put lace around an pearls around that.makes for a nice keepsake.
