Dig out what you can reach with your fingers (I know , gross, wear gloves.) Pour a cup of baking soda down the drain followed by a cup of white vinegar then when the bubbles stop, boiling water .
Hello Elaine; Normally, I use a mixture of: One cup or so of Baking Soda, a heaping Tablespoon of Salt and a cup of white vinegar. After the volcano action ceases, follow, with a kettle of Boiling water.
You can purchase any over the counter cleaner, such as Liquid Plumber.
If this does not help your sink drain, I would suggest that you contact a Plumber.

I know there is a mixture for this...but I just mix some baking soda with water, pour it down the drain and then about half hour later I pour hot water down the drain.

Try the easiest methods first. 1) plunger 2) pour boiling water down the drain 3) put 1/4 cup baking soda in sink, followed by 1 cup vinegar. When the foaming stops follow with water 4) tougher clogs can be cleared with a tool called a snake. There are small wire versions that are better suited to a bathroom drain.
I use Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and hot water.
Fill sink with water.....make a tornado swirl counterclockwise....keep turning....
Boil some water in a large pot, and while its hot, pour it into the clogged drain. this will melt old soap pieces and gunk and probably open the drain without chemicals. Then do it again to clear the pipes.
if it is bath small faucets ,try pulling the stopper out of drain , might be stuff aattached to pop up stopper, and in drain . or get a hanger and straight it out use as tool for unblock any thing down in drain , take it down as far as you can and twist it around to loosen junk. could go deeper were you get a small drain metal line with attachment to help !! form hardware store . best to you

Look on line. Do you have a garbage disposal and put everything in it? Wrong says my plumber.
I have used washing soda followed by a moderate amount of boiling or very hot water. Let it stand 15 min. and turn on hot water tap. This might help.
