First I would send them a certified mail letter explaining the situation and demand a repair. If they do not comply, file a complaint against them through you state contractor's license board. Then hire a licensed, bonded and insured roofer to fix for you. Then you can take the patio company to small claims court if need be to recoup your roofing costs.
You can file a complaint with your local Better Business Bureau. You can file online. They have helped me resolve a problem with my utility company.
if you have home owners insurance call the policy holder. Many times they will fix it after your deductible. The entire roof may have to be replaced/repaired. Check your home owners policy. FYI ~ this is a example. If you have progressive don't call them first call the company that is the insurer. That will by pass a problems. That prevents any changes between two companies. I just had my roof repaired and the fellow that handled the reaper gave me that advice for any future claims. If you need the name of a fantastic roofer let me know. He also told me never use that sealer they show on the TV. He said it doesn't hold up to the heat & cold we have here.
the advice Naomi gave you is good, the insurance comision as helpfull if you insurance refuse to cooperate. The roofer I used delt with the insurance co. for me.
hope this is helpful.
Thanks everyone for your comments. The leaking is caused by condensation in my patio skylight, he caulked the skylight again and around the outside of the patio foundation he then put a larger extension on the cutter drainage for the water to drip from the side of the houses to the yard. We will see how long this will last and if it doesn't work we will call them back.
caulked? Not chalked?
So if the AC is causing the water, might be time for you to get it serviced and explain the problem to them .... that its causing the leaking and condensation.
