You may have to cut the hose and put in a connector. Or cut it am make two separate hoses.
I had the same problem, and Cut the holes and used a connector as Karen said. Works perfect.
I don't think the expandable hoses are fixable. If you cut out the bad area and put in connectors and hose clamps, etc., you run the risk that the inner hose will balloon at those areas. It is also hard to stop the outer fabric to keep from fraying and that is what contains the hose from ballooning.
I gave up on the expandable hoses and am now going to purchase the metal hose. Maybe it will last more than one season

Thank you so much, everyone, for your help!
Mine had a hole like that too. I jammed a heavy duty plastic straw into it hole so that the hose covered both ends of the straw. Then I wrapped it in the electrician tape and sew up the outer fabric. So far it's working.
Mine has leak midway. I thought I would try some of that “As Seen on TV” Stop Leak Spray. I can’t decide whether to try it while hose is expanded and leaking or whether to mark spot while expanded and allow it to retract and dry. Any wild guesses if either will work?
