I used epoxy and its held up for last 5 yrs. Its a mess to work with. but glad I used it.

You can use Bondo....a product used to fill in dents, etc on cars. If you are not familiar with the product, you may want to get a professional to help. You will also need to re-finish the shower wall after using the Bondo to cover it up and make it blend in.
Use j & b weld epoxy to fill in holes.
