Plantains
Those look like plantains to me. They are wider than bananas. If you open them you can tell too. They are harder/stiffer inside than a banana. You can cook them and eat them. You can look up recipes for how to cook them. I have only made plantains once a few years ago, but they were really good.
bananas are more round, plantains have ridges that rise it kind of shows it has 4 different sides that's how I know. the picture your showing are plantains, no bananas.

They look like plantains. If they are, let them start to turn black and then you can cook them. When they turn black, they become sweeter. Don't use them green. They taste bad. Too many people cook them green and don;t care for the taste. I treated my mother to true cooked plantains and she loved them.
They are in the plantain family. We call them burros. Let them ripen until very yellow. No need to wait until black with this variety. Pan fry in olive oil. Very sweet and yummy.

Richard, they can be prepared when still green. Cut into thin slices, fry until crisp, sprinkle with cheese = chifles. Cut them into inch-thick slices, fry slightly, smash with a plate, fry again until crisp , salt to taste = patacones.
