https://miabellapassion.blogspot.co.nz/2016/01/how-to-stop-hydrangeas-wilting-as-cut.html I wrote this post on my blog about this subject and there are a few tricks to stopping the wilt. I couldn't believe how picking in the morning and soaking made the flowers last weeks.
Cut them early in the morning while the dew is still on them, they should last for days!

Hydrangeas can also be dried for use in dried arrangements for use around your home. Try checking this site, Pinterest or Google for how to's and other suggestions.
cut them hang them upside down in a shed spray with lacquer (or I have used hair spray if no lacquer available) then lacquer later/use for dried arrangements
