My friend is also in her 60's what she did is she got taller flower pots and stacked the blocks around them and painted them bright colors and in the summer she put her flowers in them. She made them tall enough so she wouldn't have to bend to plant them.

Ah, one of my favorites - heavier than sin, but fun to use. Here are a couple links of sheer fun!

Make a bench for yard, stack & put solar lights in them make a corner & put flowers in them & you can paint them then stack around bench for sitting area with flowers in them (can use pots in holes, so it can be easier to remove). Put in front corner of yard with your house no on them with flowers (stack as a corner). Good luck.
Paint them and use the blocks as flower pots. They can be stacked. If you going to stack don't go too high. Fill the one side with filler such as plastic bottles add dirt. This looks nice with a hanging plant.
Depending on how many you have. Purchase some land scape timbers stack the blocks with the holes to the sides insert the land scape timber into the holes to make a bench.
You could stack them in a cantelevered fashion and use them for planters, paint them up with cement paint to compliment your design. They could also be used to make an interesting waterfall feature .
I saw this idea yesterday. Cheap, easy and gorgeous. I'm going to do it in my own yard.
