Is the rug on the whole wall? Wow. I suggest "beating" the rug on the clothes line outside, or over a yard sofa, swing set, or a couple of saw horses. Hang the rug fur side in first. Beat the lining with a rug beater, a flat bat, a tennis racket, or a big school paddle. If you have an oar, practice to get your balance right and go for it. I start at the top of the fold and go down so the dust falls, including lots from inside. Try not to damage the lining, but it happens. Turn the rug fur side out. Depending on the makeup and texture of the fur, beat it enough to get the dust out, but try not to injure the fur. After the beating, get someone to help you grab all four corners of the rug, fur side down, and shake it as high and hard as you can. This should get lots of dust off. It's probably not possible the vacuum this size rug, but you could try the attachments for drapes or small spaces, again, lining first, then the fur. Best wishes to you 😇
Since you've probably vacuumed it, I would take it outside and hang over a line and beat it with an old tennis racket.
My question is "why would you hang up such a dirty rug on your wall?" I would say it's had it' s time and pitch it.
Put it on the floor and shampoo it.
I probably should. I don't wash them. I'll correct the word now. 😅
