How to replace sink in TINY powder room?

I have a very, very small powderoom with a pedestool sink. It takes up 1/2 of the space. I'd like to have a small, wall/corner mounted sink, as I have seen in Europe and other places. It needs to be only large enough to wash your hands. This will free up room for storage, and knees! Is this easy? Hard? How much would I pay someone, and, really, whom? do I need a plumber? A handyperson? Can I do it myself? The pipes are visible. Any ideas? I am trying to upload the pics, but am having trouble. I will keep trying, an appreciate any insight that you can give with the description above. Thanks!
thanks.

If you have never done plumbing then you will need a plumber to move the pipes to a corner or leave where it is and just get a smaller sink like you see in trailers. Add storage up on the wall with shelves or baskets

-Wall-mounted taps will save inches depth wise, as compared with the conventional counter mounted taps.

-A single hole, single lever integrated faucet is more expensive, but is easy to clean, take less space, and will visually downplay the whole size of the sink area.

-IKEA sells tiny sideways wall- mounted sinks that are space saving.

  • You want a licensed plumber if you are not confident enough or do not have the tools. Check their license with your states contractors license board. Cost varies greatly by location, big cities always charge more.
