Where is this stone, indoors, outside? How much traffic? A photo would be helpful. I can't imagine painting a surface like that because of the wear and tear. Possibly a transparent stain would look better. I'm thinking that painting stone tile would not change the appearance....just look like you were trying to disguise it but failed. I might change my mind if I could see a photo.
