Can I paint my popcorn ceiling?

I have always had my items profesionally reglazed - they do sell the DIY kits, be prepared to spend more than a day, wear a mask and eye protection.

I would have it done professionally. My Mother had hers done and it was affordable. My former neighbour did her own, and within 2 years, had to bring in a pro due to peeling. It cost her more because they had to remove all the peeling paint first.
Epoxy paint and spray has worked for me for overall paint restore and touch-up. The secret is...do not rush and let completely dry between coats.
