Go on line and see what the manufacturer recommends. I would use a damp sponge with Dawn dish soap to get any grease off then wipe down, then a paper towel dampened with vinegar, then a microfiber cloth run under really hot water and wrung out. See how it looks after each step. I must be OCD as I wipe my stove down after each use.
Looks a lot like mine. My fantastic hubby cleans it as he is usually the one that cooks things like Italian sausage for his lunches uncovered. He uses a safety razor blade to get any thing that is burnt on, then uses a soapy sponge, then a clean sponge to rinse. I follow with Windex and paper towel dry. I tried the systems for that type of stove and it constantly streaked if you tried to wipe off a spill, like it was coated with oil.
I use equal amounts of heated vinegar and dishwashing detergent and let set wipe off and if its still not clean use a single edge razor blade and wash as usual.
My stovetop actually came with a safety razor blade in the package. It scrapes off gummy stuff, but there is still some residue. Also I use Comet on it, which removes anything that isn't baked on, and looks as good as it gets.
Is this a glass top? If so go to the grocery store look for glass top cleaner and follow directions!!!!
Do not use any sharp product such as a razor blade.Try using the recommended cleaners for glass stove tops,or make a paste of baking soda and vinegar, applying to the soiled top, leave on long enough to break down the grease, the use White vinegar and water 50/50 and wipe it down with a microfiber cloth
I bought some cleaner made for the glass stove top, but I have found that Soft Scrub works just as well and it is cheaper. You will need multiple cleanings so be patient
fist off what's on it? I'd call the company those glass tops are a bugger
I use a Scotchbrite blue (non-scratch) sponge with dish soap and scrub. Then I rinse and clean more until there is no more residue. You can use a single edge razor on anything that is really stuck on. I use a microfiber cloth to dry.
Hello! My husband actually cleans our stove top and when I suggested he purchase Bartender's Friend, which I read online is an excellent source for cleaning flat top stove's, he wasn't buying it . He said that any cleaning product will work, as long as a little elbow grease was applied. Afterword just rinse with a sponge and thoroughly dry with a paper towel. .
Thanks, I'll try anything as I mentioned earlier, I just got it from someone and it's really dirty
You are welcome and I know you have some work in front of you
I have this same exact stove.. it cleans beautifully using backing soda and vinegar. Simply sprinkle the baking soda all over and then spray the vinegar on top, making it moist and bubbly. Let it sit for 10 minutes and it will GLEAM!
For my daughter i took baking soda made a paste with balong soda and water put it on burners let set and wiped it off with warm water wiped it off it looked great!!
I like Cerama Bryte and have used others Publix Grocery carries. If your stove top is extremely dirty with baked on spills it will take extra work. I clean mine if I have a burned on spills soon as cool enough. I have had my stove over 10 years.

if it is badly marked, stained and scratched why not replace just the glass? You can do this yourself or get a tradie. You need to source the glass.
I also use a razor blade. The stove top is just black glass & a razor really scrapes off anything stuck on the stove. I follow up work blue Dawn &/or the commercial stove top cleaner.
Welcome you are going to find a lot of great ideas on this site
I use a none, fume oven cleaner for my ,so far haven damage my stove
I have only used the ceramic/glass top cleaners they recommend. But that plus elbow grease, and repeated cleanings should get it back to normal.
It will take a lot of "elbow grease" to get that clean, but it could be done. I would start with a razor blade to see how much can be scraped off (the razor blade is recommended by the people who make glass top cook tops to clean off spill-overs). Once the worst of it is off then it will be a matter of using the cleaning product you can buy for cleaning glass cook-tops and scrub and scrub and scrub with the product.
By the way, I had some scratches and several small "chips" in my glass cook-top (there when we bought the house), and by frequently using the recommended cleaning product the scratches have slowly disappeared. I am surmising that the product slowly fills up scratches and permanently "melts" into the scratch.
The operative words seem to be "diligently using the product" if you want to keep your glass cooktop looking good. I have found that spilling water on a hot burner leaves a residue that is more difficult to get off. It could be that the "hard" water we have in this area is what leaves the residue.
an inexpensive product to use on glass surfaces is Bon Ami found near the comet and such cleaners... you use a wet cloth and make a paste with it and rub a bit... depending on how bad it is and wipe off then let dry as it leaves a powder that can be wiped off with a dry cloth. great on windows with water spots.. as it says on the label with the little chick it hasn't scratched yet... and it doesn't..
soaked kitchen towel in hot water and lay over top. Use a plastic scrubby or brush with baking soda.
left wet towel for an hour or so before scrubbing
Yes! I had one for 20 years. Baking soda is not abrasive and always around. Plastic spatulas work for scrapping too.
Yes as a matter fact I can help with that if it's not to late to answer 😁 .
A hot soapy sponge ...
Nothing abrasive it'll mess it up .
Unless it's the actually cleaner for it .
That comes in a kit that's a little spending .
Anyway ...
After wiping it down as good as you can ....
You take a Dollar Store razor scraper and gently guide it across the surface in all directions .
Making sure not to any knicks or such on the surface .
It doesn't take a lot of elbow grease but it does take time to get it all .
Once it's done ...
Everytime you wipe down your stove just repeat the process .
That'll only take a clean of minutes after that first initial cleaning .
It's worth it you'll see😁
