Have you checked the closet area to see if you have any moisture or mold problems. You can check on pinterest for sachets which will help
I doubt you are doing anything wrong. Store some pleasant smelling soaps or make some inexpensive lavender sachet to keep in the closet.
Nothing, it just happens. When you get a chance, take everything out of the cabinet and give it a good wash. Then tuck in dried lavender or line the drawers or cabinet with scented drawer liners that you can pick up at Home Goods, Steinmart, etc. Or make your own by lining with parchment paper and dribble pepermint oil on a paper towel and then place in the cabinet in an open ziplock bag so the oil does not stain your sheets and towels.
You can place a mild-scented dryer sheet on the shelf with the sheets.
Hello Kay, I open all of my bar soaps when I get them home from the store. I put them in between my linens. Keeps everything smelling so pleasant. I also use linen spray when I change our bed linen. Smells sooo good.
Are you putting the sheets away damp? That can lead to mustiness.
I use fabric softener in the wash as well as dryer sheets. Overkill, but it extends the fresh smell. You can also put sheets away with dryer sheets folded into the sheets in order to maintain freshness.
Make sure if you use dryer sheets you keep them in an open ziplock baggie. I did it once and it left an oily spot. Leave the closet door open sometimes for fresh air. Like suggested before, make sure anything you put in the cupboard is completely dry.
This happens to me also, put the sheets in the dryer with a dryer sheet for 10. minutes. Good Luck!
