Try Vinegar and baking soda
I spray my shower and bathtub with Clorax Clean Up, let it set a little while, then take a brush and all soap scum comes off, rinse and it is clean and white!!!
So, don't sprinkle it all around just do a small section at a time and don't give it a chance to get that blue stain.
Or,
You need to find a product that's white and doesn't turn blue.
Or,
You might try vinegar and baking soda. Great for cleaning.
Try liquid Bar Keepers Friend. Make sure you are rinsing it well as it sounds like possible cleaning particles not rinsed or dissolved.
I use vinegar and baking soda.
Bar Keeper Friend.
Try using Vinegar and baking soda instead of the Ajax and if you are concerned about germs use one of the Clorox spray cleaner to finish up... just remember to rinse well.
Stop using Ajax. The abrasive ness is stripping the finish and permeating the surface. Use a spray product that will strip only the soap scum, germs and dirt. My sister used Ajax and eventually the tub & sink had to be re glazed or replaced because nothing got them clean anymore. So stop with it now, and in 6 months those spots should be faded away and you’ll have a clean bathroom using liquid products.
For my bath tub and sink, I use magic eraser. It works 100%. Try it.
Try the liquid comet!!! It’s amazing!!
Bon Ami is gentle or some of the bathroom sprays may work just as well.
My pleasure...............
Ps stains on clothes, furniture and carpet. I have used it inside my tub and tile and bathroom sink, because the odor is not near as bad as many shower spray's I have used in recent years that now cause my eyes to water and nose to run, the same as the many OTC eye drops I have been told to use for dry eyes. I have been told by many recent physicians it was good I have never smoked cigarettes, one of many irritating scents from short distance's. Other's include perfumes used by women and men and gasoline and exhaust from older car's, trucks, buses, and car oil's, etc. In my both apt bathroom's, I have just enough room for my very small white plastic trash container to fit with toilet brush holder I use to quickly put in comet and clean and flush of these two small, low income and Section 8, HUD approved senior citizens apartments with many structural problems I have rented in the last four years in Plymouth, MI. My first experience was in red brick (with 3 levels and 101 apt's) including, a leak above my stove and frost in the inside of my living room and bedroom window's for two winter's and black mold on the plastic ledge's. For the past 2 years, 8 month this one has both black and green on front back vinyl siding, built on cement slabs with patio's or the somewhat larger upper units with wood balconies. I have known to never use bleach and ammonia in same room when cleaning since the age of approx. 20. However, since cataract surgery I have noticed scent's in hair color products when rinsing under the shower irritating to my eye's and eye lid's always careful to avoid direct contact and must leave my bathroom door open. The OTC eye drops for dry eyes, cause my eye's to water and then go down my nose and back of throat. All of this is because of much surgery on my nose, and allergies. I was told no surgery will ever be able to correct as I have a hole inside of my nose shown to me and no longer able to use the once only nasal spray Flonase, I could tolerate since sinus surgery in 2000 in FL. I had MANY misdiagnosed sinus infections. I can only breath properly on one side and many scent's are enhanced to the point of irritating to my nose and eye's. I have tried a netty pot and OTC antihistamine's told not to use and then told by a recent allergist to use again with other OTC products AYR gel/spray and Ocean spray saline, I have used Also known as basal ganglia. Therefore, the smaller the many bathrooms and kitchen's of many sizes I have cleaned in 67 year's using powdered Ajax and Comet cleansers it is the scent of bleach. I may try Barkeeper's Friend and Bon Ami, but am not sure if considered a germ cleaner and do not really care as otherwise healthy even with a constant post nasal drip and some sneezing. I have rarely used liquid bleach in clothes washer's for many year's and have found even long timed used hair color products irritating to my nose in small not properly ventilated bathroom's. I have always known I attempt to clean (bathroom and kitchen) especially while recovering from back surgery in March and rotator cuff surgery in '15 I have tried my best to find cleaning products that do not have bleach as it is irritating to my eye's and nasal area's.
I was allowed the help of a home health aide after back surgery in March and although she protested my request to clean my tub, because I was afraid of slipping on the shampoo, creme rinse and bar soap I kept dropping while taking a shower in my handicap chrome bars and fixtures with an exhaust vent that does not do much. It also has a low sitting water saving toilet, with 8" between back of tub with a chrome rail bar across that end of tub. Then 12 " between old worn vanity with metal toilet paper holder so close I can't use it. The bathroom sink is very low and top of vanity slopes towards the very thin mirror so that water from delta style faucet.
The home health aide did
agreed to clean my tub and asked what I had to use? I showed her many products and explained my problem with scent's and she said she had same and used an inhaler because of asthma and had to buy expensive natural 7th Generation cleaning products. She quickly told a pair of gloves she had with her and sprayed one of the product's I had and quickly wiped the bottom of the tub. She then noticed I had very little of the $1 product AWESOME, I used for many things including stsibs a concentrated product that needs to be diluted with water. She said that was the BEST and when finally able to walk to a nearby Acco hardware store, even though odor's of fertilizer products in there are offensive to me. Hope this helps someone else in some small way. A man in the Acco store saw me holding the plastic bottle of AWESOME with it's many uses listed in red and mentioned it was good for grease stains.
