If this is a flat top glass cook top, use a razor scraper.
I melted a plastic plate on my stove top and used Goo Gone when the stove cooled. Spray, let set, remove with a plastic scraper. Repeat if needed. I also clean my glass stove top with Barkeeper's Soft spray cleanser, wipe clean, rinse. Then clean with windex for the Sparkle!!!!! Best of luck.
scrape everything you can first. You may have to warm it up again (you can use a blow dryer). Then scrub it until you get it all. Goo Gone is great, but, get all the residue of it off.

I did this with a plastic wrapper. I just turned it on warm & as soon as the plastic looked liquid I turned it back off again and cleaned it up. Gave it a good cleaning with the glass top cleaner afterwards.
