How can I remove film from car window?

Warm it with a hair dryer. Start where it is already peeling and heat a small area at a time. Won't be long until the entire window is transparent again.

I used a hand held steamer to remove the peeling film on my sisters used car. Not sure if it will work on film applied by the factory though.

Try a heat gun (or blow dryer) heat small, areas at a time, and peeling

Almost all sites I've searched say to use ammonia applied to the insde of the windows covered with black plastic left for several hours to remove "almost all of the tint carefully peeling off the black plastic bag and using a razor" but that just seems to me like it's a pretty "iffy" job, and definitely stinky. I don't think I'd want the smell of ammonia lingering in my car. So below is the ONLY link I have found with a way that makes much much sense to me. If you have a steamer it should be easy-peasy to remove the window tint from your back car window:
