I would use a product to clean the lime scale. Even plain vinegar would do. And then spray it with WD40. That should do the trick.
Can you take it apart? I didn't know you could do that. For me it would be a sign that a new faucet needs to be put in.
try the vineagar cut in half with water....it seams to work better...the other thing you might try is wetting paper towels with the vinager solution and wrapping it arround the lever where the parts move. If you have a piece of plastic wrap..put that over the top to keep it moist...let sit over night. See how it's doing in the morning. Had to do this at an industrel building I was cleaning.
Vinegar or WD-40 might help
