cut the flower stems place in paper bag and shake seeds will fall in bottom of bag.
Cut some of the flowers you like, and hand them upside down in a small paper bag. Use a rubber band around the top to hold them in place. Let them hang until completely dry, and then shake lightly to remove the seeds from the flower. The seeds should fall off into the paper bag and you can use them for planting.
I reseed my garden often! You need to find the flowers that have "gone to seed" meaning the flower is done but the seeds are now drying. Often they look dead but examine closely to see if there are seeds. I pick off the tops or run my fingers against the grain and scatter the seeds back into the dirt.
This only works with flowers that are "self pollinators".
