A nice shelving unit of some sort with large openings could work. Sit it directly in front of the window and place your plants so they get as much light as possible. The larger shelf openings would allow room for the plants to grow since most vegetables grow fairly tall.
How about using a tall bookcase with an open back.

A table or two? Plant stands?
I used bracket hooks for hanging plant baskets ... and mounted them over the windows.. (Lowe's garden dept) with the metal baskets (clear hard plastic serving bowl from a "dollar store" will help with watering). My brackets are mounted almost to the ceiling.. where I was sure to catch wood framing to hold the weight. (sorry the picture is so dark, the sun is on the other side of the house)
