on the side. I retire at the end of the month and my husband and I will qualify for a first time home buyer. One of the issues is the house has to be move in ready. That's a biggy Any ideas? I want so much to bring history home to the Mountsin State.

Any ideas?

    Not really a biggie unless you are saying that you want to live in a barn that you have converted into a house.

    Check with a mortgage broker (not a bank) - see if you can get a non-conforming loan with draws. A broker deals with lots of different kinds of loans - banks usually just a few.
