1 quart of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid regular Dawn blue Dish Soap
Mix these together and slather on dog, you might need more for a long coat or large dog. Let it soak for a minimum of five minutes. Rinse well.
I usually repeat. Then rinse with a bit of lemon juice in water, then plain water. Hasn't failed me yet.
The have products at the stores that do this. I have heard you can wash them in Tomato Juice but have never tried it. Something like Oxy clean that cuts the oil is what is needed. If your unable to go to the store to purchase it I would try anything and then a strong deodorizer
tomato juice is sup to help.....if I'm rember correctly skunk spray is also oil based like a cats wee....dawn dish soap is where I'd try...first.
You can't, not really. There is a product called Skunk Off but I dont think it is completely effective. Tomato juice doesn't work, nor does spaghetti sauce. I have had 2 dogs skunked and the best fix was to take the dog to a groomer and get the fur cut. The smell will come back every time the dog gets wet, but with the shorter fur, there is less polution. It just takes time. Sorry for you and the dog.
tomatoe juice has been a standard for ages.....but I'm pretty sure there are other products from a vet or pet store......there is an on line company with specialty pet items. Foster smith vet
Stick him in a tub or basin and pour tomato juice over him.
