Succulents don't like regular dirt. There is a speciality mix made for cactus and succulents. Make sure to have some peas hinge in the bottom of the pot as well. The goal is to get a really well draining soil and water sparingly, only when the surface is dry.
Stick your finger in the dirt to make a small hole, put the baby in ,take the wrong end of a spoon and gently fill in and tamp down the dirt.Every few days give them about a tablespoon of water, remember these are succulents which are related to cacti ,too much water will kill them.
