fertilizing and planting new grass seed. always pull weeds out by hand or a tool.

never cut them, but make sure roots are out also. it helps to pull them out when

    the soil is wet!

  • Lots of water to keep green, plus fertilize at appropriate times for lawn and plants. You will never ever be completely free of weeds unless you have a gardener come every single day. Weeds are just part of nature, all we can do is control them. I spend 10 - 15 minutes at least once a day, and twice a day if I am lucky, and just pluck the weeds as they appear. That way I do not have to spend every Saturday morning "weeding" or have to pay someone to do for me.

Overcrowd it with grass seed. Every fall and spring seed your lawn. Eventually the weeds will be crowded out. Best grass is eye grass. It's also not liked by cinch bugs or grubs.

Sorr, I meant rye grass. I've over seed my grass every spring and fall and it works.
