i generally go down to home improvement store. Some will let you check out boards with tiles mounted to them. Then you can evaluate the colors in the conditions of you kitchen or bath. I have also used sheet of steel behind my stove. You can get stainless steel Tiles, but there were 50+ holes in that wall. The sheet goods covered them all.
