This is very easy to do. I did it to one of my kitchens a few years ago.

You can do one or two ways. You can buy it that way or make it your self. Get a piece of glass from the glass company to put it on the back; like you would a picture frame. Same concept.
You have to remove the center panel of wood and at least one side in order to slide in the glass on most doors. If the center panel was laid onto the back of the cabinet door, that's generally easier because you pry up that center panel and measure glass (make it at least 1/4" smaller if possible for expansion/contraction) and lay that in and use points or a bit of wood trim to hold it in.
