I'm thinking it must be something supernatural. For The Three Stooges a whack in the head with an iron pipe would do. You need to give us waaaay more information than this to get any kind of meaningful answer.
is it tongue and groove floating floor? If so, it could be that there was insufficient space left at the edge to allow for expansion...you could gently pry off the baseboard and either remove one board completely from the edge or trim the last boards down one inch or so
Maybe the Laminate flooring?? has been laid too tightly to the walls Needs to be trimmed a little, not allowing for expansion. Or you may have Tree Roots lifting floor. Or it could be Damp!..........
